Ian MacRea retired as a civil servant in 1999 after having served 10 years in the UK and 25 years with the States of Guernsey, which included 7 years as Guernsey`s Overseas Aid Secretary. Ian has extensive experience in the control and monitoring of financial budgets and staff management together with liaising and meeting with personnel worldwide, including Board Managers, Ministers of the Crown and church dignitaries. Ian also has extensive experience working with the press and serving on various management boards and committees.

For over 20 years, Ian has worked to link The Channel Island Guernsey with ICT`s work and he has visited ICT projects in India and Sri Lanka.

Ian and his wife live in Guernsey and they have 3 children.
