After studying Politics and International Studies at University, Rachel pursued her interest in development by commencing a Masters in Development Management at the Open University.

To further her study Rachel took part in an International Development course in Mysore, India in 2003 involving seminars led by Indian activists and work placements with local Non-Governmental Organisations. In the same year Rachel also took part in her first charity challenge to cycle across Sri Lanka raising over £2500 for International Childcare Trust.

After having done extensive voluntary work with charitable organisations in the UK and abroad Rachel took up her role at the Brain and Spine Foundation in 2003 as Fundraising Officer. She now returns to ICT as the Fundraising and Events Manager.
