ONE YEAR, ONE HUNDRED CHILDREN

Thank you to all those that responded to our Seasonal Appeal. So far we have managed to raise £3515. You can continue to help us by donating online today. Read more about the Appeal below.

During 2009, Western Education, Advocacy & Empowerment (WEAEP) in Kenya plans to undertake its most ambitious project yet by rehabilitating over 100 orphans and street children and reuniting them with their families.

There are more than 700 children living and working on the streets of Kenya's Western Province due to abuse, HIV/AIDS, extreme poverty and displacement following last year's civil unrest. These children are often traumatised and lack basic material needs which a family would provide, such as food, security, shelter, education and healthcare.

With your support WEAEP can make this project a reality for more than 100 children by next year.
