Eight months after the tsunami struck Sri Lanka, devastating coastal
communities and killing more than 40,000 people, Shilpa Children's
Trust organized an art therapy programme for children in Hambanota
and Colombo. The children produced paintings and drawings
representing their experiences, their emotions and their hopes for
the future. Some of these artworks have been drawn together to make
up a calendar which seeks to show the tsunami through the eyes of
children directly affected by it.
The calendar is available for 10, you can order copies by emailing [email protected].
Through your purchase of this calendar you support ICT and
Shilpa's work in Colombo and Hambanota.
