Climb Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro, “The Roof of Africa”, is the highest mountain on the continent and a magnet for trekkers the world over. We follow the beautiful Machame Route, approaching Kilimanjaro from the south, and through rainforest, moorland and scree, we climb to its snowcapped summit at 5896m for simply breathtaking views. This is a tough but spectacularly rewarding challenge. Henry Steadman, author of the ‘Trailblazer Guide to Kilimanjaro’, says - “Ask any guide or agent which is the best walk to do on Kilimanjaro, and nine times out of ten they will choose this, the Machame Route”.

The event, which covers 10/11 days including flights and transfers from the UK/Ireland, costs just £299 to register and has a minimum fundraising target of £3400. The ICT Fundraising team will be on hand to help you raise this amount to experience a trip of a lifetime.

FUNDRAISING OPTIONS

  • Self-funding:
With the self-funding option, participants cover the total event cost themselves and in addition to this raise as much sponsorship as possible for the charity of their choice. The event cost consists of the deposit, which is required on signing up to secure your place on the challenge and the final balance, which is due ten weeks prior to departure. All monies are payable to Action Challenge.

  • Minimum sponsorship:
With the minimum sponsorship option, participants pay the event deposit to Action Challenge and then pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship target for International Childcare Trust. All fundraising is sent directly to ICT as and when it is received. At least 80% of the minimum sponsorship is required by ICT 10 weeks prior to departure with the remaining 20% being sent to ICT within 4 weeks of completing the challenge. If you have raised the required sponsorship, ICT will pay for the remaining balance of your place on the challenge and then benefit from all the sponsorship raised above and beyond the event.

Please download and complete the Kilimanjaro Challenge Booking Form, this form covers both of the above fundraising options, further details on the form itself:
