“I’ve got to be honest, I hadn’t heard of ICT or their work until a friend told me that they were a Child Sponsor over dinner. I took a look at the website the next day and was deeply moved by some of the stories of hardship faced by so many of the children. I decided then and there to ‘make a difference’ myself. That was over a year ago. Since then I have been sponsoring a little girl in India: helping her attend the ‘Vilpatti Village Project’. My £20 a month provides her with a uniform, books, food as well as an education.
The way I look at it, I’m helping to change a young girl’s entire life for less, per month, than the cost of the bottle of wine I ordered at that dinner when I first heard about ICT’s work. I don’t think I can explain it any clearer than that.”
"Child sponsorship makes you feel that you can make a difference, albeit a small one on a global scale, however a very significant one for an individual child".
"I met Janani when I visited the Kodai Kanal project supported by ICT at the end of the 5 day cycle from Cochin. I am sponsoring Janani because, having met those that take care of her at the Kodai Kanal project, I am convinced that this will be money well spent."
